On behalf of the fellowship at Penzance Baptist Church, I would like to welcome you to our website. It is a pleasure for us to make these pages available to you so that you can learn a bit more about who we are, what we believe, and also what happens at PBC. 

 

As a church our primary reason for existing is to glorify God. We believe that an individual can experience and know nothing greater than a real, living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We strive to bring God glory through singing and praying together, hearing His Word preached, loving Him, and loving one another.

 

We are a fellowship of believers who are committed to the Lord Jesus Christ, the truth of the Bible, and the power of the Gospel in a needy world. Life is uncertain but we trust in a gracious, sovereign God who holds all things in His hand. We praise Him for all that is past and trust Him for all that is to come. We believe in a great God who knows the end from the beginning, and rest in the fact that He has a plan for our church, and for each of us as individuals. It is a blessing to serve God in Penzance as we strive to maintain a Christ-centred focus in all that we do.

 

As you look through these pages, we hope that you will find much to interest you, but we hope above all that you would know personally the treasure of our affections as a church – Jesus Christ. As Charles Spurgeon once said, ‘I have a great need for Christ, but a great Christ for my need’.
